Meet Halo,
your new holy grail.
Halo is a world-famous hybrid fractional laser, designed to treat multiple layers of the skin simultaneously for dramatic anti-aging results. Halo’s proprietary technology integrates both an ablative aspect to target the epidermis (the top layer of skin) to address textural issues and pore size, as well as a non-ablative aspect to target the dermis (the thickest layer of skin) to address deeper sun damage, stimulate collagen and remove other unwanted pigment.
Eliminate years of sun damage.
Halo restores a healthy radiance and youthfulness to skin, which is why clients describe their complexion as having “the Halo glow” upon healing from treatment. Prior to Halo, two options were available on the market: an ablative or non-ablative treatment, leaving patients to choose between a more invasive procedure with lengthy downtime, or a treatment that may not be as effective as they would like. Halo, however, combines both ablative and non-ablative wavelengths to offer complete skin rejuvenation—and with minimal downtime—including a dramatic reduction in sun spots, discoloration, uneven texture, enlarged pores, skin dullness, scars, and fine lines and wrinkles.
An anti-aging superhero.
Halo delivers an unmatched improvement in the appearance of aging skin in as little as one to two treatments. To further enhance the skin, Halo can optionally be combined with other services such as BBL Hero during the same treatment session.
Frequently asked.
-
Halo addresses vascular lesions, pigmentation and textural issues all in a single modality. Depending on a patient’s needs, we sometimes recommend a combination of Halo and BBL Hero for an even more dramatic result.
-
Thirty minutes to an hour before treatment, we will apply a topical anesthetic (numbing cream) on your skin to reduce any discomfort during the procedure. The treated area will be measured with motion-tracking technology to ensure an even and uniform treatment.
-
With a topical anesthetic and integrated cooling technology, patients typically experience little discomfort. Most patients describe the treatment as a feeling of heat with occasional prickling sensations, but are generally comfortable. After the treatment, a warm feeling continues for an additional 60 minutes, or slightly longer with deeper treatment levels.
-
Halo is a complete skin revitalization laser treatment. You will see overall improvements in your skin, including a reduction in the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, reduced pore size, improved skin reflectivity and glow, and significant removal of discoloration.
-
Your Halo results will last for years, but you should keep your skin protected at all times with UV sunscreen. With each additional Halo treatment, you will experience continued improvement with healthier, more youthful looking skin.
-
Due to its fractionated nature, most patients require one to two Halo treatments to achieve their goals, depending on the level of intensity. Patients may choose to receive one or two aggressive treatments or multiple gentle treatments to achieve the same goal over a longer period of time. A Halo or Moxi treatment may then be recommended once or twice per year as maintenance.
-
We’ll provide after-care instructions to you, but in general, skin must remain well protected for at least 72 hours post-treatment.
For facial treatments, you will see very little change on the first day. After two to three days, you will develop a light, all-over bronzing. And by day three or four, dead skin will slowly begin to slough off; as it sheds naturally, new skin will be revealed. You might experience some social downtime, but can resume normal daily activities as desired.
We typically inform patients to expect around five to nine days of social downtime, depending on the intensity of the treatment. Ahead of important events, it is recommended to allow even more time to ensure the healing process is complete, including any residual flushness to the skin.
-
Most patients begin to notice initial results five days after treatment, but your skin will continue to improve over time. The greatest pigmentary improvement is typically noticed two to three weeks post-procedure; and this is followed by a dermal regeneration phase that continues to improve for months.
-
Halo treatments can be performed on the face and body in skin types I to VI.
-
Aging, genetics, sun exposure and other lifestyle factors can bring unwanted changes to the skin in the form of fine lines and wrinkles. In addition, patients with fine lines and wrinkles also oftentimes experience discoloration and skin laxity. For those whose wrinkles are always prevalent, even when the face is relaxed, it can feel like there are limited options for covering or removing these imperfections.
Halo targets microscopic treatment zones to help produce new, healthy skin cells—and build collagen—in areas with fine lines or wrinkles, such as crow’s feet or nasolabial folds.
-
Halo specifically targets discoloration, sun spots, actinic keratoses and other signs of aging, resulting in increased skin reflectivity and radiance post-treatment.
-
Scar tissue is a result of the body’s natural healing response after a surgical procedure, injury, burn, cut or scrape, or from past acne. Scars often appear as irregular skin texture, tone and color anywhere on the body, and can be difficult, and sometimes impossible, to cover or remove without professional treatment.
Halo offers settings to specifically target and reduce the appearance of scar tissue anywhere on the face or body.
-
When the body produces too much or too little melanin, it can cause brown spots, sun spots, moles, melasma and other skin patches that appear lighter or darker than normal.
These patches range in size and can appear anywhere on the body, and are typically caused by genetic factors, sun exposure and the natural aging process.
Through Halo’s process of dermal remodeling, pigmented lesions can be removed for an enhanced skin smoothness.
