Look as young as you feel.

BBL (BroadBand Light) is the most powerful intense pulsed light device on the market. It activates cell regeneration and achieves significant skin improvements related to aging and sun damage. We offer a variety of BBL-focused modules, including Corrective, Forever Young, Forever Clear, Forever Bare, SkinTyte, Moxi and Hero.

Restore the characteristics of youthfulness to aged cells.

Hero addresses a range of issues, including acne, rosacea, age spots, sun spots, fine lines and wrinkles, freckles, cherry angiomas, dermal revitalization, skin laxity, hyperpigmentation, uneven texture, spider veins, broken capillaries and vascular lesions. With consistent treatment, BBL can slow the pace of aging by generating substantial improvements to skin elasticity—a phenomenon we call The Hero Effect.

A study by Stanford University published in the Journal of Investigative Dermatology shows that BroadBand Light treatments can change the expression of genes associated with the aging process to more closely resemble young skin. The study supports that regulators of aging can be altered in skin using BBL to provide a functional change, rather than just a cosmetic mimic of a more youthful appearance.

Raising the bar for fast, dramatic results.

As a premier provider of BBL treatments, our patients’ outcomes are enhanced as a result of the ongoing, rigorous training we receive from medical experts who specialize in BroadBand Light technology, like “The Godfather of Light,” Dr. Patrick Bitter. Pairing Hero with microneedling, injectables and at-home skin therapy can further advance treatment results.

Frequently asked.

  • Hero uses intense pulsed light to target pigment within the skin. The device flashes specialized light as it quickly moves across the treatment area. The pigment is initially darkened, helping aestheticians and patients know that an optimal treatment was experienced. Several days post-procedure, the body’s natural healing process will remove the pigmented cells and replace them with fresh, new, undamaged cells.

  • Each flash of the light produces a feeling of warmth. Most patients easily tolerate the feeling, but we do offer anesthetic numbing cream for added comfort.

  • Hero can be performed on nearly any body part. However, the most common areas in which patients accrue sun damage are the most popular areas for treatment: the face, neck, chest, shoulders, back, arms, legs and the back of hands.

  • Results vary depending on the individual, the area being treated and the settings used. However, most patients can expect to notice results two to four weeks post-treatment.

  • It is important that patients wear a physical barrier sunscreen and limit their exposure to the sun after treatment.

  • Results will be visible from a single treatment. However, the number of necessary treatments will depend on the severity of a patient’s pigmentation concerns. Multiple initial treatments are required to achieve optimal results, and we typically recommend continuing with at least one annual maintenance treatment.
