Instant volume
with lasting results.
Bellafill is an injection comprised of polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) microspheres which are suspended within a base of smooth collagen gel. Once injected, the collagen gel immediately reduces the look of lines. Over time, your body uses the microspheres in Bellafill to create a scaffold onto which your own natural collagen can develop. This collagen forms a foundation that adds volume to wrinkles, reducing their appearance and giving you natural-looking results that feel soft and smooth for up to five years.
Bellafill is the only FDA-approved filler that has proven efficacy for five years, and is also FDA-approved to smooth skin with acne scar depressions.
A long-lasting solution.
Filler fatigue refers to a patient’s frustration as a result of frequent injection appointments in order to maintain a youthful appearance. If you can relate to feeling the impact of time, pain or expense brought about by dermal fillers, Bellafill may be right for you—it stimulates collagen growth longterm to help maintain a youthful appearance for up to five years!

PMMA (polymethyl methacrylate) is a biocompatible material that has been safely used in medical implants and other devices for more than 65 years.
In post-market surveillance conducted from 1993 to 2014, less than 1% of all dermal filler adverse events occurred with PMMA, compared to 44% with HA (hyaluronic acid), 40% with PLLA (poly-L-lactic acid and 15% with CaHA (calcium hydroxylapatite).
Bellafill has maintained a consistent safety profile with continued usage over time. With more than one million syringes distributed through 2021, Bellafill recorded an overall adverse event rating of only 0.11%, and most adverse events resolved either with or without treatment.

Unlike other temporary fillers, Bellafill offers both immediate and long-lasting correction by stimulating your own collagen.
Injected using a fine needle, Bellafill’s PMMA microspheres and collagen gel provide immediate correction. Over time, the collagen gel dissipates, and fibroblasts—which secrete collagen proteins to help maintain the structural framework of tissues—migrate in and around the PMMA microspheres. The PMMA microspheres provide a scaffold for fibroblasts to deposit your own collagen.

Smooth collagen gel (80%) forms the base of Bellafill, creating smooth, supple volume beneath the surface of the skin, and polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) microspheres (20%) are suspended within the collagen gel, which form a sturdy scaffold where your own natural collagen grows.
Thanks to its two innovative components, Bellafill creates instant results that you can enjoy as soon as you leave Kurr. As the original collagen gel fades away, your body naturally replaces it with your own collagen around the microspheres, for unparalleled longterm smoothness.

Collagen is the most abundant protein found in the skin and provides tissue support, strength and integrity. Bellafill stimulates both Type I and Type III collagen for long-lasting correction. Type I is expressed widely and is responsible for tissue strength and integrity, while Type III is predominantly expressed during wound repair and aids in the process of healing.

In the longest and largest study ever conducted on dermal fillers, Bellafill was proven to be effective through five years. That means that you can enjoy your results for much longer than you would with hyaluronic acid-based fillers.
The effectiveness of Bellafill when used to correct acne scars is 12 months.

You may experience some temporary swelling, redness, pain, bruising, lumps or bumps, itching and discoloration at the treatment site. These symptoms are usually temporary, resolving within one to seven days.

Ideal Bellafill candidates are women or men who are bothered by the look of their nasolabial folds and/or have thin, hollowed faces, and wish to avoid regular treatments associated with other fillers. Bellafill is FDA-approved, and both its collagen gel and its PMMA microspheres have established records of safety.
To be eligible for treatment, patients must be at least 21 years of age and receive the required skin test prior to treatment. In clinical studies, Bellafill was shown to work in both men and women with a variety of skin types. A list of contraindications can be found on our Bellafill consent form.

Swelling, redness and tenderness may occur after your treatment, and usually resolve within 72 hours. Cold compresses may be used immediately after treatment to reduce swelling and any discomfort.
Avoid touching the treated area within six hours of treatment to avoid accidentally injuring skin. After that, the area may be gently washed with a mild cleanser and water. Do not massage the injected areas for 48 hours unless instructed to do so by one of our nurses.
Until redness and swelling subsides completely, avoid exposure of the treated area to intense heat (such as a sun lamp or sun bathing) or extreme cold weather.
Avoid taking aspirin and other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications, St. John’s wort and high doses of vitamin E supplements for three days after treatment. These agents may increase the risk of bruising and bleeding at the injection site.
Avoid aesthetic lasers, microdermabrasion or IPL over areas injected with Bellafill for a minimum of six weeks after treatment.
